Increased Christmas Season Traffic Deaths in Georgia

Here’s a frightening statistic: there were 73% more fatal car wrecks and 35% more car crashes in Georgia over the 2018 Christmas travel period (Dec 21-26) than the same period in 2017. There were 26 deaths in 2018 vs. 15 in 2017, and there were 700 wrecks in 2018 vs. 515 in 2017. Even with the increase in safety technologies in our cars, we are still dealing with the repercussions of dangerous road conditions and distracted driving.

Moral of the story – stay safe out on the roads and be aware of the drivers around you.
